I am back on, and back to bragging!

It's been wa-a-a-a-ay too long of no posts from me. But I am back. This is my latest accomplishment. No, not Valentina. Her dress and flower in her hair.

It has been a crazy year. New baby on the way due December, Valentina now in second grade, Misha is in pre-school, Eric still at Lego and I am getting ready for #3. We also have a dog now, named Whisper and same old guinea pig named Whiskers. I get their names confused all the time.
My latest craze - couponing - is back on a little smaller scale, though. Eric posts pictures on facebook for people to guess the price of groceries bought in one trip. Sometimes it is really worth it to spend an extra time to print and clip coupons for big savings at store. My most recent visit was about $13 for an almost full cart of groceries, while a guy in front of me spent over $300 for almost the same amount of food. So, call me crazy when I cut and print my coupons, I will not be stopping this hobby any time soon.
Weather-wise, I am really hoping it will cool off soon, so we could go for walks more often. With an added load of my belly, extra heat doesn't help.

Misha just turned 5. We celebrated by going to Universal. It was fun, but way too hot for me.
Their new Harry Potter addition is pretty cool, crowded though, because everyone wants to see it. Misha's favorite ride was Spider-Man, of course.
There's been a lot of new and interesting things, but I won't try to remember all of them, because it is just impossible.

Snow in Florida

Even though some people in the state of Florida were lucky enough to see real snow this winter, we weren't one of them. However, it didn't stop us from enjoying some fake snow in Celebration.

Christmas morning 2009

I should really post everything immediately after the event due to short-term memory loss in my scattered brain.
I was trying to remember what we did Christmas day, but since there's no pictures of anything, I am having a really hard time recollecting events of a month long occurance. Wow, I am so bad. Christmas morning was spent unwrapping presents. There were just the four of us.

We were able to spend some time with our friends Rob and Sarah Lambourne and their kids. We had a nice dinner at their new house and then we went to the Festival of the Nativity. Hundreds of nativities from around the world were displayed for people to view - so peaceful. There were some activities for kids and a nativity scene set for anyone willing to take their pictures dressed as Mary, Joseph, the Angel or shepperds.

Tradition

A few years ago we drove by this house in the town of Celebration and were really fascinated by cool Christmas lights, flashing to the music beat on the radio. And it became our little family tradition to drive by that same house and sit there in front of it with the car radio on and windows rolled down watching and listening to the show. I love it. Especially because it is TSO.

My first rag quilt

I made this quilt for my friend. This was my first quilt ever. It is purposely made with seems on the outside to make "ragged" effect. I enjoyed making it a lot. My fingers don't agree with me, though. It was a lot of snipping.
I am hoping to make some more soon.

Happy Feet

Valentina had her Christmas dance performance. Since she is in hip-hop and tap this year, she did both of them. I just love watching those little feet fly!
